Basic guideline to any smoothie  1 or 2 Servings to fruit  Vegetables with high water content (cucumber, celery, beetroot, lettuce etc)  1 cup of green leafy vegetable for green smoothies (Kale, spinach, romaine are great choices)  Some healthy fats (nuts and seeds, coconut oil, virgin olive oil, flaxseed oil, macadamia oil etc)  Pinch of spices (cinnamon, ginger, cayenne, Turmeric are my top choices)  Good water base (filtered water, coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk or regular milk)  Any added powder for extra nutrients (protein powder, cocoa, acai berry, greens powder, maca or anything you like)  Some natural sweetener for taste (raw honey, maple syrup, agave, stevia, coconut sugar, brown rice syrup etc)

Breakie Power – A filling morning smoothie to keep you going till lunch  1 ripe banana  2 tbsp of oats  1 tsp vanilla essence  1 tbsp of raw honey  6 almonds (try 1 tbsp of peanut butter, it tastes amazing too!)  ½ tsp of cinnamon powder  2 tbsp Greek yogurt (optional)  ¾ cup of any milk of your choice (I love coconut milk with this recipes) Blend all ingredients in the blender for till smooth and enjoy =)

Very Berry & Beet – This one is great for skin and anti aging, also detoxes the liver • 1 cup of mixed berries (frozen ones are great too) • ½ cup of beetroot (can use raw, roasted or canned) • ½ of a carrot chopped • ½ tsp of stevia • 1 tbsp of Chia seeds • 1 cup of orange juice • ½ of a lemon squeezed • 1 tsp Acai berry powder (optional) Blend all ingredients together in a blender and enjoy any time of the day =)

Vanilla Pear and apple – Perfect post workout recovery drink • Half of a large pear or 1 small pear • Half large apple or 1 small apple • 1 tbsp natural honey • Pinch of grounded ginger (depends on your taste) • 6 walnuts • 1 tbsp raw cocoa powder • ½ cup of coconut water • ½ cup of vanilla flavored almond milk • 1 scope of vanilla flavored protein powder (optional) Blend and drink within one hour after a workout.
