  • 2. INGREDIENTS •Crisco •Self Rising Flour (not the off brand) •Buttermilk •Butter
  • 3. HELPFUL KITCHEN TOOLS YOU MAY NEED •biscuit cutter •Wax paper •Sheet pan •Rolling pin •Glass measuring cup
  • 4. HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT HOMEMADE BISCUITS •Preheat the oven to 350 degrees •Grease the pan with a teaspoon of Crisco •Melt a ½ stick of butter (save for the end) •Measure out 3 cups of flour into a bowl •Scoop out 3 egg shaped scoops of Crisco •Use the biscuit cutter to chop the Crisco into the flour

CONT. •Carefully pour 2 cups of buttermilk into the four Crisco mixture, and stir gently •Next get a sheet of wax paper and put some flour on it •Pour half the mixture on the wax paper •Put some flour on your hands and on the rolling pin •Start to roll out the dough to about a 2 inch slab •Cut out biscuits with the cutter
  • 6. CONT. •Place them on the greased sheet pan •Rub melted butter on the tops •Bake for 20- 30 minutes, and remove and immediately flip the biscuits •Repeat this process with the rest of your dough •Enjoy!!!
